Why We Exist

The lack of a sound and applicable public policy has been hindering Indonesia from exploring her great potentials. Its improvement is by no means a simple undertaking, especially for a politically dynamic country where diverse stakeholders hold on to various agendas.

This challenge may stand tough but overcoming it is not impossible. Countries with comparable challenges have proven themselves triumphant in attaining and implementing a well-designed public policy. We believe Indonesia can accomplish the same.

Paramadina Public Policy Institute is an independent, non-profit, and non-partisan think tank under the umbrella of Paramadina University. We seek to promote sound and applicable public policy in Indonesia through multidisciplinary research. We exist to provide relevant practical solutions for Indonesia’s policymaking needs.

Why policy matters?

We realize that enabling Indonesia to explore her great potentials is a huge undertaking. Since 2010, PPPI has helped enabled sound public policies and continually advised ministries and high level government institutions.

“Public Policy is a key tool to ensure democracy delivers its promise: equality, prosperity, and justice. Good policy making process will provide the foundation for efficient allocation of the nations’s natural and human resources. The Institute’s purpose is to unlock Indonesia’s great potential by promoting sound and comprehensive public policy.”
